I have installed xvncviewer on both a Debian unstable system and a
Ubuntu system. Xvncviewer is installed from deb packages. This is to
connect to a vnc server running on a windows XP machine.
If I start the viewer in normal or fullscreen mode, I can access the
popup menu through F8 and use normal keystrokes in applications, eg:
notepad. However, if I start the viewer in normal mode then switch to
fullscreen, or if I start in full screen and then switch to normal then
back to fullscreen I lose the access to keys including the F8 popup
menu.
I have read somewhere about an X incompatibility with xvncviewer. Is
this so? Is there any way that I can solve this problem or at least work
around it?
At the least I would be like to be able to use xvncviewer in fullscreen
mode and then minimize it to use the linux desktop then revert back to
it. And the ideal would be to be able to use the popup menu regardless
of swapping between screen sizes.

Thanks and regards

Linton
