Hi All,

Can anyone tell me how to connect to a PC over the Internet? I am trying to
help my brother fix some things on his PC remotely (he is running Windows ME).
He can gave me his modem's IP address and I can ping that OK. However, that is
the IP of his DSL modem yet his PC is actually assigned a 192.168.#.# IP (must
have been assigned using DHCP).

So, when I try to connect using the viewer or via a web browser, I cannot
connect. Is there some special format required in this situation? I used his
modem's IP in hope that his PC would see the incoming connection. I'm pretty
sure that everything is configured correctly otherwise.

Below does not work (where #.#.#.# is the modem's IP):
viewer: #.#.#.#:0
browser: HTTP://#.#.#.#:5900 or http://#.#.#.#:5800

Thanks for any assistance!

Gerard
