Ok. What part doesn't work? You may have to get someone with admin priveleges to log in and do this, as it may not work unless you have administrator priveleges.

I just installed the Real VNC4 (we use TightVNC here, which is based on the VNC3.x sources, etc.) Under start menu, "RealVNC" folder, there should be another folder labeled "VNC Server 4 (service mode)". Select "Register VNC Service" and then you'll want to run "configure vnc service" if it doesn't do it automagically. -----Original Message----- From: pdehelly [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, February 08, 2005 10:06 AM To: 'John Aldrich' Subject: RE : XP reboot Hello How to make this vnc app administrative thanks -----Message d'origine----- De : [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] De la part de John Aldrich Envoyi : mardi 8 fivrier 2005 14:46 @ : 'daszak'; [email protected] Objet : RE: XP reboot Yes. That's exactly what running in service mode does. All "user" apps are closed when the user logs off, and since VNC in service mode is run as an "administrative" app, it does not shut off. -----Original Message----- From: daszak [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, February 08, 2005 5:06 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: XP reboot HI all Thanks for that. How does running it in service mode help me ? Does it keep the connection alive during logoff/login ?
