I have a question about firewall configuration for VNC and Remote Desktop...

I use Windows Remote Desktop but have not been able to use it through my
company's firewall. Besides contacting admin support to have them open port
3389, is there a way around this? I was thinking I could use the Web based
Remote desktop and change something or change the port that Remote Desktop
uses to one not blocked by my company - any ideas?

If that doesn't work, I'm going to use a RealVNC/UltraVNC/etc. program like I
used to use (Remote Desktop works so much better though since I'm always
using XP -> XP and don't need the multi-platform features of VNC but do want
to be able to control audio, drives, printers, etc. like RD allows)

How do I configure RealVNC or UltraVNC to get through the company firewall or
will I have the same problem as RemoteDesktop where I can't get through the
firewall?

I appreciate any help you can give. I've been reading through the
documentation but it is over my head - Thanks!
