Thank you for the lead. I had actually tried that client before but I couldn't get anything out of it; now I tried it again against both RealVNC on WinXP and OSXvnc on MacOS X.

When connecting to the RealVNC server on WinXP, the client just disappears and nothing happens. The VNC server seems to be ok as I can connect to it with Chicken of the VNC MacOS X client. (Does the RealVNC server keep a log somewhere why the connection failed?)

When connecting to the OSXvnc, it works a bit differently. I get a full screen grey display with scrollbars and a text "Please wait - initial screen loading". The log on the server says:

2005-03-07 16:03:39.536 OSXvnc-server[4602] Protocol version 3.3

when I tried with Hextile, I got something different:

On the client, I almost get the same gray window with scrollbars but the application dies.

Has anyone got this VNC Viewer to work on Windows CE.NET?

There is not a release from Realvnc that runs on this as far as I
know. BUt searching around for VNC on CE.net should give you some
ideas. I'm sure someone has a viewer avaiable for this os

Try:
http://www.conduits.com/products/apps/vnc.asp

Or if you can get a java runtime installed on it you can just use the
java version of the viewer by connecting to http://192.168.X.Y:5800 on
the airpanel.

Good Luck, Angelo
