place this in a text file and save it with a .reg extension: ---start text---
REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "DefaultUserName"="administrator" "DefaultPassword"="TheAdminPassword" "DefaultDomainName"="MYDOMAIN" "LegalNoticeCaption"=- "LegalNoticeText"=- "AutoAdminLogon"="1" "ForceAutoLogon"="1" ---end text--- edit as needed, if the computer is not part of a domain, use the machine name as the DefaultDomainName after saving the file, double click on it and say yes. to clean up after, use the same proceedure with this: ---start text--- REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "DefaultUserName"=- "DefaultPassword"=- "DefaultDomainName"=- "LegalNoticeCaption"=- "LegalNoticeText"=- "AutoAdminLogon"=- "ForceAutoLogon"=- ---end text--- -----Original Message----- From: Cesar Dela Paz [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, March 16, 2005 23:40 To: Erik Soderquist; Steve Bostedor; James Weatherall Cc: [email protected] Subject: RE: Automatically connect VNCServer to client at restart Sure, why not. That is exactly what I am looking for. Now I only need to autolog the machine with VNCSever. I know it is not advisable but sometimes I need to temporarily do this especially if I am fixing the machine which is very very far away and with not user around. I only need to put back autologon to OFF once I am done. Now my next task is how to activate autologon. Thanks again. Steve, Thanks also for your contribution. It clarified what I was trying to get at. Hard to say. Oh well, he has an answer either way, now. :) -----Original Message----- From: James Weatherall [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, March 10, 2005 11:54 AM To: Steve Bostedor; 'Cesar Dela Paz'; [email protected] Subject: RE: Automatically connect VNCServer to client at restart Steve, No, I think he was asking how to make the server (with a dynamic IP) connect back *out* to a viewer (with a static IP) when it comes up.
