James,
It seems that first step is to authenticate the server followed by Windows
authentication. I have
following questions:

1. Is it true that public key cryptography methodology is used for server
authentication?

2. What factor will determine a server to communicate to any arbitrary client
communicating to it?

3. Will the windows authentication take place across the encrypted session ?

Regards,
Harjit Singh

        Harjit,

RSA Server Authentication means that viewers can avoid man-in-the-middle
attacks by verifying the identity of the server to which they are
        connecting.

Windows Authentication involves authenticating the user to the server
using
        standard Windows user credentials.

        Cheers,

        All,

I have a question with respect to this information from RealVnc website.
What is a difference between between 2048-bit RSA Server authentication
and
Windows Authentication. If windows authentication is secure, what
mechanism
        does it use.

On windows do we need to use both windows authentication along with
2048-bit
RSA server. If only one is used, what are the consequences of that.
