No the updates did not include SP1. I've tried installing Version 4 and I'm having the same problem. I do think that the 2003 server has port 5900 closed now. Does anyone how how to open this port, or test to see if it is open.
Snip Did the updates include SP1 for Windows 2003? If so you will have to open up port 5900. Windows 2003 SP1 has a firewall much like Windows XP. The control panel would show the firewall if it was there. This weekend we made two changes to our current Windows SBS 2003 system 1. We added a 2nd Server (2003 Standard Edition running TS) 2. Did the current patchs for the 2003 servers from Microsoft (No changes to the workstations) Now whenever I run the viewer from my server I get a VNC info Screen with "Failed to connect to server" message. I'm able to ping all of my workstations from the server. Does anyone know of problems with the current 2003 Server Critical updates ? Or could it be the TS services running on the other computer ? Current VNC version installed 3.3.7 Thank you Michael Thank you Michael _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
