Vince,

Firstly, if you are installing VNC Server on a system, you can simply omit
VNC Viewer from the install in order to avoid a clash between VNC Viewer 3
and VNC Viewer 4 over the .vnc extension.

If for some reason you want to be able to use both viewers on the same
system, just create your own custom extension and associate VNC Viewer 4
with it, and leave the .vnc extension for VNC Viewer 3.

Fundamentally, though, why do you want to use both in the first place?

Regards,

Wez @ RealVNC Ltd.
