I get that sometimes when I forget to manually start the VNC server on my
box at home after SSH-ing into it. Maybe the server is NOT running on the
remote machine? If it's a Windows box, maybe you can use the "Manage" option
to connect to the remote system and (re)start the VNC server? I've seen
where the VNC server (especially on NT4) will get killed accidentally and
you have to manually restart the service.

Subject: VNC Authentication windows not shown after key in the VNC
server IP
Hi,
I'm using WinVNC Viewer 3.3.7 in my desktop to access
a W2K Server SP4 (installed with WinVNC 3.3.7).
Recently, I encounter problem when accessing the
server. After I key in the VNC server IP, then I press
OK; there is not VNC authentication windows prompt out
request me to enter the session password. The VNC
viewer in my desktop is running fine when I access to
another VNC servers.
Please advice...Thanks
