Hi! James,
When I set to 256, VNC works very fast. When I set to true color, which I have to do sometimes to show the graphics on my screen, the speed becomes too slow. By the way, does VNC 4.0 have an option (such a command line) to force VNC to use 16-bit pixel even though both VNC server and viewer have 32-bit display? To me (perhaps most users), 16-bit can be a good replacement of 32-bit true-color for a good speed of interaction. The trick of asking the VNC server/view users to change to 16-bit display sometimes is not practical. Any advices from you are appreciated!
