Hello,

Is the option "Protocol3.3", which is available in the Windows version
of the viewer, also available in the Linux viewer?

I'm trying to connect to a vnc server (TightVNC) running with an older
version of the protocol, but my Linux 4.1.1 vnc viewer (in Fedora Core
4) won't connect to it.

When I make the connection attempt, this is all I get:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ vncviewer 192.168.0.215:0

VNC Viewer Free Edition 4.1.1 for X - built Aug 4 2005 06:43:41
Copyright (C) 2002-2005 RealVNC Ltd.
See http://www.realvnc.com for information on VNC.

Thu Sep 29 11:06:31 2005
CConn: connected to host 192.168.0.215 port 5900
CConnection: Server supports RFB protocol version 3.130
CConnection: Using RFB protocol version 3.8

The password dialog box never appears. Is there another alternative
besides using an older version of the client or upgrading the server?

Regards,

Ranbir
