Hi James,

Thanks very much for you quick response.

We have version 4.1.1.

The contents of the desktop can be totally static and we still get 100%
cpu.

I have played with the settings in capture method and by turning "Poll
console windows for updates" off have got the cpu usage down to about
10% of one cpu.

Is it ok to leave "Poll console windows for updates" off, what does it
do?

Thanks

Andy

Andrew,

Is the VNC Server configured to poll for changes to the desktop?

Are the contents of the desktop changing rapidly?

Are you using the latest VNC Server Free Edition release (VNC 4.1.1)?

Regards,

Wez @ RealVNC Ltd.
