Sonali, Your port-forwarding line tells SSH to accept connections locally on port 5901 and to forward them to port 5900 on the SSH server computer, which is presumably also running your VNC server.
To connect to the tunnel you've created, you need to enter "localhost:1" or "localhost::5901" in order to tell VNC Viewer to use port 5901 to connect to the correct port. Note that you don't need to install or configure VNC Server on the viewer computer...
