Thanks for the info, Scott and Jim.  Have you tested the
RealVNC-EE Xfree86 loadable module alternative to x0vncserver for
viewing the local workstation console remotely?  How does it compare to
x11vnc or x0vncserver?  RealVNC-EE does not currently provide that
loadable module for HPUX, although they have it for Linux and Solaris,
but I am pursuing building it for HPUX.  It would be nice to know before
I spend much time on it if it is likely to provide acceptable
performance.  I am mostly concerned with minimizing resource utilization
on the workstation.

You can try x11vnc, it performs much better in my tests as compared to 
x0vncserver. It can be built for HPUX 11.11, but I don't know if you can

find a pre-built binary.
