had a brilliant idea -
stay logged on at the server, just "lock workstation"
- the tray icon might still be accessible.

but it's no good, -connect still got "Unable to locate existing VNC Server" (on NT40 and NT51)

will do a free trial of Enterprise version.

So i figured there's no IPC when there's no tray icon.
and when no-one's logged on, there can't be a tray icon.
