Chris, To find your IP address on the XP machine you wish to use as the server, do this: Start Menu -> Run... Type "cmd.exe" to get a command prompt. Type "ipconfig" to see your IP address. Use that IP address in the VNC viewer's "Server" field.
If you want to continue to use rotating IP addresses (DHCP, I assume), you can instead specify the server by its Windows networking name. At the same command prompt, type "net view" to see the names of your two machines. When you use this name, omit the leading backslashes.
