After you've dialed up on your PC, open a DOS window (command prompt).
Type "ipconfig" and press Enter. You should see something like this:

Windows IP Configuration

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

        Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.27
        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.254

Note: Of course your IP settings will be different.

of your wired computer into the "Server:" box.

If you setup a password when you installed VNC you will be prompted for
it. Then you should see whatever is up on the screen on your wired
computer.

If you can't connect, you probably have the Windows personal firewall
running on your wired machine. You can either turn it off (not
recommended) or you can enable VNC server. I don't use Windows too often
so I don't remember exactly how to do this, but you should be able to do
it in the firewall configuration. If it asks for a port to enable, use
5900. This is the VNC server default port.
