Hello! I am glad to be a part of a great learning experience by joining this list.
I am wanting to employ RealVNC over a SSH connection and am not clear regarding what goes where. I have read the docs and done some searching, but am getting confused with the terminology. The architecture: - Server: FreeBSD (dedicated IP address, running Samba) - Clients: M$ XP Pro on multiple CPUs (behind a NATed switch) I want to be able to remotely access each of the client PCs that are in a 192.168.x.x address space. The FreeBSD server has ssh installed and running. When the RealVNC documentation refers to Windows server and client, I am unsure what/who the 'server' is. Is this the XP Pro client running the RealVNC server as a service? -or- does the RealVNC server run on (in this case, my) FreeBSD server? Any help is appreciated.
