For those that produce the documentation for the vnc package, I would
request that documentation of the "via" option be placed on the manual
page for the Linux/Unix vncviewer page, as it does not exist on the page
currently. If it exists somewhere else, will someone kindly point it out
to me?

The man page for vncviewer in the Tightvnc package contains some
documentation on the via option. I have used the option, which initiates
an ssh tunnel before connecting to a vnc server. I think that this option
is very important, as it reduces the number of steps to initiate a secure
vnc session, which increases the security of the free version of RealVNC.
