Hi Woody, You're correct, there's no difference between a viewer->server connection and a server->viewer connection, so the problem must lie somewhere in your network configuration.
You can check the VNC Viewer's "Info" dialog to get the line-speed estimate, regardless of how the connection was started, which may be of use.
