Firstly, I am a complete ignoramus with VNC.
In fact, I just got my new laptop dual booted w/Enterprise Linux and XP
and was fiddling around with vncviewer under linux.
I am running KDE and I do not know what version of VNC the linux
installation comes with, although it should be the latest
linux kernel.

I didnt really know what I was doing and now I am encountering some
strange "features"

My hostname was somehow changed to username-flasher-efpc
and all my kde windows are now labeled username-flasher-efpc
After alot of searching I discovered some files prefixed with flasher in
my .vnc directory.

What is flasher???
I cant find any docs on the web that mention it.
I thought perhaps I had left a vncserver process running but there are
no processes involving vnc listed when I do a ps
and I also tried vncserver -kill :1 to no avail.

I'm worried now that I might have been hacked, what is going on?
(Please explain in simple to terms to this humble ignoramus ;-)
Thanks!
