Hi, I've asked this question before but never got any answers. I hope folks may be reading now who have some ideas. We use the 4.1.1 free edition of VNC. I have the server loaded on 2 Windows 2000 machines run as service-mode. We connect from various Windows 2000 professional PCs. Most of us have no problem connecting to both servers. We are experiencing difficulties from two machines but I cannot find a setting on these two machines that are different from the rest.
I have an access list set on one router to limit the access to these two servers. The 2 problem machines are definitely on this list. I can successfully ping the servers from the 2 clients and vice versa. When I run VNC client on these two machines the normal prompt comes up and I type in the IP address just as we do from all of our PCs. The connection appears to establish and the server screen comes up but it stays black. The screen never writes with that of the server screen. I have tried refresh refresh screen from the VNC menu and F5 to refresh the screen. Nothing happens. For some reason we can't get the unit from these positions. We didn't have a problem connecting from these PCs when we were running VNC 3.3. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Sophia P. _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
