I do this all the time - under exactly the same circumstances (my very
elderly parents are forever bolixing their machine - VNC make it
possible for me to solve 95% of their problems remotely - rather than
driving the 600 or so km).
Should be ip:0, if the server is set up to use :0. Basically, ip:n,
where :n is the n of the screen they've set the server to.
In the viewer window, I've tried, IP:0, IP:IP:0, IP. I don't know if
I'm typing the path right. If it needs the password.
I imagined that this should be a simple connect. I'm also sure that
many people have done this with success. I just need a little nudge in
the right direction. Any help is appreciated.
