I have been able to install just fine, but my question is more about usage. Here's a example... When I am on AIX running vncviewer and I connect to a Windows machine running vncserver, I can connect to the machine and view the connection in realtime. I can see what's on the monitor of the Windows PC. Can I do the same thing in reverse? I want to run a viewer on my Windows PC and connect to vncserver running on a remote AIX computer and see what's on the monitor of that computer.
So far, the only thing I've been able to accomplish is connecting to the AIX remote computer and logging into the machine as a particular user, but I can't see running applications of that user. That is the ultimate goal here. I need to be able to view the applications running on the remote AIX computer so I can assist those users with application support. Can it be done? What's the configuration procedure or options I need to make that happen. So far I have not been successful.
