Hi,
I have been using Free VNC for quite a while now and have never
had any problems. However, now I have a weird problem and I'm
stumped.
Below is a diagram of the relevant parts of my small network. All four
of the computers below (ARUBA, LWBWKS, TUNES, APPS) are running
both Client & Server of VNC 4.11 (I'm using 'LWBWKS'):
From my system (LWBWKS) I can ping EVERY Computer in the
network, both by their DNS Name and IP Address. However, I
CANNOT Connect as a Client to all the systems.
From LWBWKS I *CAN *connect to the following:
* ARUBA
* APPS
But I *CANNOT *connect to:
* TUNES
From ARUBA I *CAN *connect to the following:
* LWBWKS
* APPS
But I *CANNOT *connect to:
* TUNES
From TUNES I *CAN *connect to the following (everything):
* ARUBA
* LWBWKS
* APPS
All of the results are the same using either DNS Name and IP Address.
I also have the same results using only 3.3 protocol.
I have NOT tried different ports, but I have never had a problem with this
even in networks with dozens of workstations.
I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions.
