Need help!

I use VNC free edition to connect to PC's on the LAN and works okay.
Now I want to access remote computer on the internet mostly on cable
modems (optonline).

Essentially I will be accessing from the LAN, only outbound connection
that I need.

1) Can this version do this?
2) How can configure the firewall (SonicWall) to allow VNC Viewer?

Thank You

Real VNC 4.1.2 on XP SP2 Tablet, VNC client shuts down when left for a
while, we need it to stay active.

It is set to auto reconnect.

We previously used WinVNC and I am sure that did not close the session
and would stay active until manually closed.

Any ideas please?
