Hello All,

I want to hibernate Windows XP automatically after some hours of
inactivity. But it keeps on. (same for standby)
I'm running VNC server 4.1 on this machine and have no physical mouse,
keyboard or monitor connected.

Is this a VNC issue? Do this work for other users?
Just think what you want to do... The remote machine must hibernate. That is, dump all memory in some storage and go to sleep. Then you start vnc to peek at the machine. If the machine stays asleep, you donnot see anything . If you happen to wake the machine, it is not hibernated anymore...

If you use vncviewer to see the remote machine fall asleep, then the remote machine has the vncserver active, hence there is some activity and the machine might not go to sleep. Only if you start the vncviewer session in a view-only mode (options-> imputs: deselect all) you might not wake the remote machine. You might also need some options-misc settings to obscure your view. 'Offer ot automatically reconnect' can ruin your day as well...

Success
