Windows XP SP2, by default, don't accept "NT Logon Authentication" connection 
without a 
password (in fact without a password you also cannot access to "directories 
sharing").

To use "NT Logon Authentication" you need a password or you must change a 
setting in the 
user or system profile (if I remember well).
