Dear Friends:
I'm a newbie testing out the free download of VNC 4.1.
I have two Win XP2 (sp2) machines behind a router.
I had no difficulty installing the server on one (a Dell Laptop), and
the viewer on the other machine.
Problem:
The server has a shortcut on the its desktop that starts up thecommand
prompt (i.e., cmd.exe).
When I 'click' on this icon on the Viewer, the Laptop (Server) goes
quickly to the command prompt (i.e., C:\), and awaits command input.
However, my viewer shows no change on its screen ?? That is, it does
not display the Command Prompt screen of the Server. Also, the keys typed at
the Viewer are passed thru to the server correctly, and everything works
properly --- except nothing shows on the viewer ???.
Any hints would be highly appreciated !
Is this perhaps a bug that has been fixed in the Personal Edition
(commercial) ??
