When you say MacVNC 3.3 Beta I assume you are talking about the AT&T
VNC server for Mac?

And 3.4 Alpha 3 is ChromiVNC Server (aka TridiaVNC Server)?

Which machine locks up? The server?
I guess you mean the server, so I will attempt advice based on that...

Here's a list of questions (sorry, but they are useful for diagnosis):

1) What do you mean by 'locks'? Does the server itself freeze completely
so that you can't do anything - even with the server's physical mouse
and keyboard? Or is it just locked from the point of view of the client?

2) How far does the connection get? eg: do you even get to see the screen
of the server at all, or does it lock before that? Or does it lock up

after a few seconds of, say, mouse movement and/or clicking?

3) Which client are you using? Does it provide any logging information
during the connection attempt?

4) What extensions do you have on the server? Can you use the Extensions
Manager to switch to the base extension set - and then add vncPatches
to create a 'base+vnc' set - and see if it still locks?

5) Have you tried using my vncPatches68k with ChromiVNC Server alpha 3?
Since the patches are the most likely culprits for any strange
incompatibilities, it's just possible that the differences between mine
and the standard vncPatches (which you will have to remove from the
Extensions folder) might resolve any conflict there...
