I've searched the archives and there have been previous questions about whether VNC will use some sort of external authentication like LDAP. Does anyone know? I realize there are reasons VNC keeps it all internal to itself, but having a password set locally is a problem all by itself when you're talking about managing it. I would like to use VNC much more than I do, but we have a lot of servers, and unless I can ease management of passwords (and be able to change them centrally is a big key), I won't be able to get others to agree with using it. Are there any other options? LDAP would be nice.... Comments are welcomed. Thanks.
