I think this should be added to the FAQ on the VNC web page, or maybe even
to the docs for Xvnc, but I'm not sure who's responsible for maintaining
that information.

You nailed it, removing the "backspace=22" fixed the weird "5" key
problem...
and my backspace still works fine !!!
