I somewhat understand his point. I have been working on building a fax service and also a hosted Lync service that will be offered with our Office 365 business and I have found that a lot of providers don't really want to be in the wholesale business. Years ago I found the Level 3's and Focal's where happy providing services to other carries but I don't feel the same is true today.
It looks like we are going to go the route be becoming a CLEC again and interconnecting with the LECs.
