The answer to all 3 is, it depends. Generally there are non clec ways to attach
to 911 directly (the exact process will have to be worked out by talking to the
carrier providing 911 in that area) (or indirectly through the likes of intrado
or intelliquent) and at least in Michigan, the carrier who won 911 contracts
throughout Michigan actually is native IP on the network, and TDM connectivity
is an upcharge.

I have been out of the game for about 20 years and now I am back. I have a lot
to catch up on but I'm hoping this listserv can help me out. I have a few
questions

  * Is it possible to interconnect directly with a PSAP?
  *   Is a CLEC license/agreement still required?
  * Is this interconnection still only offered via TDM or is IP/SIP an option?

Thanks for your help.
