SIGTRAN. Over the Internet. Through VPN tunnels. The VPN tunnels were
up, but it seems the STPs weren't responding to our requests, or our
packets weren't making it to them, or maybe the return packets weren't
making it back to their VPN gateways.
A traceroute shows that we send our traffic to Inteliquent/Sinch (these
VPN gateways included) via our peering connection at MICE
<https://micemn.net/participants.html>.
Meanwhile, calls over our SIP connections with Inteliquent/Sinch were
working fine.
