Mark,

You can do number 1 without any problems. You can direct your MX records to
ModusMail and then use routing (just like VOPMail's) to send all mail, after
virus and spam filtering (selectable individually and per domain), to its
destination server. ModusMail act as a relay and you don't need to create
mailboxes or anything of that sort.

About number 2, I would say it's a worthwhile purchase, although I don't
know about version 2 pricing. However, and this is my personal opinion, it's
not as efficient and state-of-the-art as other Vircom software. I assume its
work is harder than other Vircom software, but despite whatever reasons, I
don't think it's what we would expect from usual Vircom stuff. Even so, I
don't regret buying it.

Hope it helps you make your decision.

Subject: [VOPmail Beta] Vop Modus

Hi Guys,

I am considering upgrading my Vopmail5.1 to Modus Mail as there seems to be
a fairly strong support for anti virus and anti spamming and just wondering
if any can answer the following for me.

I wish to perform domain based scanning of email before it is directed at
another mail server typically exchange. I dont want to individually create
mailboxs and then forward them on as that requires to much administration.
There are ISPs in Australia that perform this on a domain level but I am
not sure what product they use. Is this possible with Modus Mail ? And can
I selectively disable/enable this feature per domain ? If I can do this
then I can use the additional revenue to justify such an upgrade.

Does everyone who has bought Modus Mail think that it was a worthwhile
purchase ? IE Any regrets ?

Appreciate your Feedback.
