We use the password change here as it is simple for us due to our use
off Databases. The key with changing the password is that nobody knows
the email account is inactive as it still receives mail. However, the
customer cannot check mail as it will constantly reject his login, in
turn this results them in calling support / sales and allows us to take
a credit card number to re-activate the account. It basically means we
don't have to chase a customer. We also automagically close accounts
that have been suspended after 90 days (our mailbox expiry period).

ModusMail and VOPMail are both good when it comes to handling automatic
mailbox deletion, so the only work we need to do is mark the plan closed
in our database to have the mailbox deleted including all files etc..

Suneel

Progamming it is a work around. I am suggesting to add it as a new
feature,
like a third checkbox in that security group. Not every mail server
administrator is a programmer.

My script would be simpler. It saves the forward addresses to a file and

remove them from the account. When the account is reactivated, it puts
them
back. I don't know why you're touching the passwords if the account is
suspended.
