that is not an easy question.  If you are trying to cover a large area and envision a large number of customer I would recommend skipping the 802.11b/a/g track and go straight to a system like http://www.axxcelera.com.  This is the system that we will most likely move to.  It is also being used very successfully by http://www.airband.com or you could wait a few month (more like 6) and use the new standard 802.16a WiMAX  http://www.wimaxforum.org  Intel has already started manufacturing the chipset need to make this standard work.  This is the standard I believe that everyone will move to and I have been doing WISP work for more than 3 years now.     Erik L.
