I, for one appreciate the "Off Topic" exchange of info, via this venue.  I am interested in Wireless, as well as we just started the serious discussions about the pros and cons of moving our servers behind a firewall, so I was really appreciative of the "Off Topic" conversation on this mailing list.  I view this e-mail list as an exchange of info from ISP and Network administrator, who all share the common thread of using the same radius.  So, as far as I am concern, anything's members of this e-mail list have to discuss concerning the internet business is "On Topic".  Only if folks start talking about their weekends and private lives here, will I ever see the need to call anyone down about not being "Off Topic".

Thanks to the fellows who have been sharing their knowledge about wireless and the woes of using a firewall in front of dial-up customers!

Subject: [VOPRadius] Off topic <-----WHY?

I am not one to be the list police but.. If the subject says OFF TOPIC then why not move it to a list where it is on topic? Please? I am interested in Wireless and such things myself but I would rather choose when I do so. I need to be on the VOP Radius list so I can be sure to keep up with VOP Radius, I dont want to have to un-subscribe just to get rid of all of the OFF TOPIC emails.

Case in point, I posted a very serious issue that I need answers to recently. I got no response from anyone on the list or Vircom. It is certainly possible that I got no response because many list members including Vircom may have been ignoring the list because of all the OFF TOPIC emails lately.

Again, I dont mean to be a complainer but I just want to receive ON topic emails. The occasional off topic is no big deal but this just goes on and on lately.

Some suggestions:
