Or he could go one more step and use a separate program much like we do that gives him the flexibility to do what ever he wants.

We have our Billing System (Platypus) push data back into the database for which our System Back End Processing (SysBEP) software then can process the records and push them out to what ever server we want.  This is my preferred method of doing things since our billing system does not reside in the same location that our servers are.  We have servers in several states and this seems to be the best method for that.

Another possible way is to write a custom stored procedure in a Master database that holds a list of domain names and which database they are in, it can then call a stored procedure in that particular database. This is similar to the way in which Rodopi works for MISP installations and you can look at the Interface_xx stored procedures in the AbacPay database as examples.

You are going to need to think about this....

I know both Rodopi and Platypus have separate stored procedures to work with sql tables.

Are users of the second ISP going to have a special login method?

What about importing accounting data?

I am getting ready to run two different accounting packages.  Can Vopradius authenticate against two accounting servers at the same time?

I have Rodopi on one server, and we are getting ready to launch a new ISP service on a Platypus accounting system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve
