What could be hypocritical about it? I value observations above all -- above 
theory, textbook and speculation. Many people, including me, have observed that 
magnets act like springs, and there is no known way to extract energy out of 
either of them. They are like falling weights: you only get as much energy out 
as you put in. I do not know of any experimental evidence that demonstrates 
excess energy from magnets or springs. That's my point. If you know of such an 
experiment, tell us about it. Until we hear of one, I think we should conclude 
that it is impossible. That's what all the textbooks say, as far as I know.
