If you want to eliminate horizontal vortices and run the pump at lower amperage, simply add some vertical vanes across the channel near the pump outlet. If you want to run in horizontal vortex mode to increase mixing and keep current above 15 amps, simply place horizontal vanes across the channel near the pump.
