The telescope was surrounded by a Faraday Cage, It was
pointed at Sirus.
How could they know they were looking at the dog star while inside a Faraday
Cage? How did they track the star?
A faraday cage is typically made of wire mesh, which blocks relatively
little light. The image would be a little fuzzier due to diffraction
when the light passed between the wires but Sirius is like a
searchlight; they wouldn't have had any problems tracking it.
Did they mention Shipov's torsion theory?
Doesn't sound like Shipov's riding too high just now. Since I have no
idea what a torsion theory might be I googled "shipov torsion" and the
first hit was this:
http://torsionfraud.narod.ru/
The URL gives the general gist of the web page.

Signals were detected. I wonder why CSETI isn't all over this.
The SETI people are, by and large, conventional-science types who would
dismiss anything involving faster than light signals mediated by bean
sprouts before you could get to the end of the paragraph describing it.
SETI folks _want_ to meet the aliens. That's quite different from
believing that they already have met the aliens!

Just curious.
