If one were going to do some speculative investing, one would purchase UTX (United Technologies utc.com). They are currently trading at $50. A look at their holdings seems to indicate they would be a good investment even if the rumor of BLP and Carrier is only a rumor. However, with revenues of $37B, don't expect to see your investment double overnight.
