Governments do not want the technology to see the light of day, and until
recently, have taken overt actions to classify good research and thereby keep
it under wraps. Peter should know well how this happens.

Therefore, competition by independent researchers is not published.

Rossi is in this camp. He knows the in-and-outs of government oppression,
and he wisely got legal protection from such action by the US. before doing
LENR R&D in the US. I would guess that the US government would have liked to
keep Rossi under wraps, but was not able to act as it did with P&F. It was the
lesser of two undesirable situations from the US government viewpoint-- to
allow Rossi to work in the US rather than somewhere else. The US knew the
“CAT” was out of the bag and on the loose. I can think of 8 or 10 research
entities in the US that would have had technical input to such a decision, each
having access to research going on elsewhere in the world on LENR Ni-H systems.

Hello Peter,
I can answer one question you asked in your blog today. BTW thanks for writing
the blog. I enjoy it daily for several reasons, you have humor, you write to my
liking and it gives me several ways to see the issues.
To your question. "Why does Rossi have no competition.?"
Answer is simple; I am too old and could not raise the money required and all
the guys who could are not doing it. The reason they do not do it is hard to
answer (I guess that being your follow up question.) I can see two possible
reasons (there might be more).
1. They are not as crazy as Rossi and me for that matter.
2. They do not have balls.
Yes, there might be another answer but I cannot see them, which of mine is
correct I cannot decide and I am sure Rossi could not either. You know of
course that when being crazy one is the last one to see that. That is if your
craziness does not turn out well, as then you become a genius.

Best Regards ,
