Sorry, I left out some details there. I was thinking of your post sometime back where you mentioned the possibility that the Lugano isotope shifts could be explained by neutron stripping of 7Li, where the neutron hopped over to the nickel. That would explain why the increase in nickel isotopes stopped at 62Ni instead of going further, as 7Li+62Ni was the last exothermic neutron stripping reaction, in contrast to ones with d, which are exothermic beyond 62Ni. I was wondering what would happen when an ejected 6Li from a neutron stripping reaction with nickel went on to collide with a 7Li (or even 6Li). Eric
