Unfortunately, I do not know anyone who can tell you how to prepare a nickel surface. Very few people can make nickel produce heat at all. Rossi may know how to do this but he is keeping his methods secret. Patterson may have known how to make nickel produce heat, but unfortunately he took his secrets to the grave with him. As far as I know Rossi has not revealed his methods. Perhaps he did, in the recent patent. I cannot judge. I do not know how well that patent works. If it does not reveal exactly how to prepare the nickel, it seems to me it must be invalid. (I know little about patents, so I could be wrong.) - Jed
