I disagree, time is a direction that becomes spatial once your vacuum pressure starts to approach that of near C velocity relative to the stationary observer. The near C twin paradox twin is Lorentzian contracted in one spatial axis relative to the stationary observer but perceives 3 normal full size axii from his own local perspective. My point is that any linkage between a stationary frame and a relativistic frame can unbalance COE. IMHO the underlying energy source for LENR is that hydrogen reactions are modified whenever nano geometry changes vacuum pressure [dynamic Casimir effect] – this same change in vacuum pressure can happen inside the EM drive via macro geometry and standing waves “Bernoulli like effect that accelerates the Q-V plasma flow coming from the main pillbox cavity” such that reactionary forces are modified with one spatial axis contracted and the temporal axis dilated by these standing waves. There is no near C velocity in LENR or EM drive but rather the same difference in vacuum pressure between suppressed nano regions and stationary open space as there is for a stationary paradox twin and his near C twin. Even though we consider ourselves to be stationary, relative to a tiny observer in a Casimir cavity we appear to be standing still just like the near C twin. I suspect the Japanes claims of modified half lives with catalysts would be far more profound if they could segregate just the gas atoms that spent significant time in suppressed regions and that we are just seeing the average on a much larger population sample. Shawyer sure have made computation error, or shortcut to pretend he conserve momentum, but his formula seems to work not bad, so behind it there is probably a reality. Something have to be corrected, maybe just slightly as usual. I follow the works of Mike McCulloch with MiHsC theory of quantized inertia, but it is unfinished. Either he is wrong, or he is like Einstein before he formulates GR with tensor algebra. http://physicsfromtheedge.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/explaining-mihsc-with-schematics.html http://physicsfromtheedge.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/mihsc-and-emdrive-clarification.html http://physicsfromtheedge.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/mihsc-101.html Vaccuum plasma cannot by definition make EmDrive work with GR+QM... but it is the key with MiHsC... Future will say. the simplest would be that it is an artifact, but that won't be funny, and Nature likes fun. 2015-11-03 16:51 GMT+01:00 Roarty, Francis X <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>>: Yes, I respect goat guys’ comments even though he is skeptical of all things LENR or over unity, his positions are always logical and well founded. If you had to pick someone from the skeptics side to weigh in on an LENR theory he would be a good choice – may not tell you what you want to hear but you will get an honest analysis. fran From: Bob Cook [mailto:[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>] Sent: Tuesday, November 03, 2015 10:00 AM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: EXTERNAL: Re: [Vo]:EM drive at NASA Fran- Thanks for that link—very interesting. The comments of “Goatguy” on the item following the article are also quite interesting. He gives a nice description of the significance of “Q”, a dimensionless resonance multiplying factor affected by various engineering schemes to increase thrust to energy input ratios of the EM drive. The same sort of Q ideas may be appropriate for the design of LENR devices to improve/define their performance. For example, Q associated with the size of nano Ni in a reactor affecting resonant conditions may have a large impact on the design. Or Q associated with the Li-H fuel mix and appropriate laser frequencies may be important.
