Have you suggested this to Holmlid? It would be a very convincing and simple demo if it showed anything at all. It would cost nothing to try.

However, since there is no plasma in the bottle, the chance of anything happening due to a muon flux seems minimal. IOW I doubt that full tank pressure + muons alone would be enough to see any thermal change. Possibly it would better to look for a gamma signal but even that is unlikely.

The fusor has a great advantage as a measuring tool since we know the Lawson criteria are being met already and there is a rate of neutron emission - so that any increase in neutrons due to neutron flux would be immediate, expected and easy to measure.
